Southfour Sandlot U13-U15

👧 Who: Players playing U13 or U15 next season (2027)

💲 Cost: $5 per each week your child attends

What’s Southfour Sandlot?

It’s backyard ball, just like we played as kids and our parents and the generations before them — fun, low-pressure, and all about developing a love for the game, while learning softball rules, softball IQ, and building confidence on the field.

• No set teams - players rotate through all positions and the batting lineup

• Player-led games - with parents and coaches helping out when needed

• Coach-pitch backup - no walks, just action!

• No scorekeeping - just development, fun, and friendships

• Pitchers and catchers rotate every 15 mins 

• Bring a friend - players are welcome to bring a buddy anytime!

• Flexible rules - game format may be adjusted based on player ages and skill levels to maximize fun!

Our registration link will be emailed out weekly so we can confirm spots and invite others if needed.

Inspired by the classic movie The Sandlot, this is a player-led experience focused on pure summertime fun. Parent coaches will be on the field to umpire and guide the game when needed, but there won’t be structured drills or formal skill instruction. Instead, the girls will learn by doing — playing the game the way it was meant to be played: outside, in the sunshine, screen-free, and surrounded by friends.

Each week will have a fun theme with music, and dress-up:

• Western Day - July 9

• Jersey Day (any sport) - July 16

• Rock Star/Pop Star Day - July 23

• Crazy Outfit/Hair Day - July 30

• Neon or Tie-Dye Day - Aug 6

• Superhero Day - Aug 13

• Southfour Spirit Day (wear your Southfour swag) - Aug 20

• Beach/Tropical Day - Aug 27

🧃 Snacks & Community

• One family signs up each week to bring a mid-game snack (around 7:30 PM)
• Occasional water balloon fights or tee-ball bonus innings, bat on the opposite side of the plate innings, etc. all for fun!
• Some weeks we may switch it up and play other fun softball related games

🤝 How You Can Help - Volunteers Needed!

We’ll need a few volunteers each week:

• 2 Coaches/Game Managers - just there to keep the game flowing smoothly, pitching to players if a player gets walked (using U9 rules so everyone hits), and umping the game.

• 1 Bench Mom aka “DJ Parent” to handle music, help catchers with gear, deal with scrapes and bruises and keep things moving

• 1 Mid-game Snack provider (different family each week)
